Conferences and Support Packages

My areas of expertise are:

  • Leadership
  • Creativity
  • Curriculum Design
  • Physical Education
  • Character Trait Development
  • Behaviour Management
  • EAL
  • Supporting schools in challenging circumstances

I can be employed to deliver a presentation or work with senior leaders and staff. I will deliver Professional Days, staff meetings, speak at conferences or work in a coaching or mentoring role with small groups of staff or individuals.

During the 2016/17 academic year we are creating our own Multi-Academy Trust at the Fulbridge Academy with a local outstanding secondary school. It has a Teaching School and we are creating and have already created a wide range of courses and training for staff and schools.

I am very experienced in terms of speaking at conferences. I have spoken at several Colleges of Further Education, the London Institute, the Education Show and in Jersey. I have spoken for the Whole Education Network, the Cambridge Primary Review Trust Alliance, Modern Government, Inside Government, Osiris Education, Pearson Education and at Local Authority conferences.

The main themes of my talks and courses have been Creativity, Leadership, Curriculum Development, PE, Behaviour Management, EAL and Character Trait Development.

NLE Support:

I can be commissioned to work as an NLE. This can be done by contacting Andi Epton-Smith at the Fulbridge Academy. (See Contact page on this website)

I have also worked closely with CMAT, a very large Cambridgeshire MAT that has schools in several Local Authorities.

Whole Education Peer Reviews:

The Fulbridge Academy is a Whole Education Pathfinder and Partner School. I am trained to deliver Peer Reviews as part of the package that this excellent education network offers.

Future Leader Trust Coaching and Mentoring:

I am employed by the Future Leaders Trust to support new Heads who are leading schools in challenging circumstances. Having led Fulbridge School from Special Measures to outstanding in an area of high deprivation and social as well as cultural diversity I am well placed to do this.

Partners:

In addition to these networks the Peterborough Learning Partnership is a valued partner. I have also been heavily involved in Teacher Training courses for Cambridge, Anglia Ruskin, Lincoln and Teach East.

Approaches:

The approaches that I can employ are either that of the coach, looking at a particular issue or that of the mentor where a longer term relationship is built and we look at a wide range of issues.

As a serving Head I am able to call upon my own expertise but also that of the staff in the Fulbridge Academy. We have several Specialist Leaders who do outreach work in other schools. (SLE’s areas of expertise: Language, Oracy, Literacy, Mathematics, ICT, Science, Assessment and Leadership)

I enjoy supporting the development of other staff. Many Fulbridge staff, with my support, have gone onto senior leader positions within our school or in other schools. Four staff have gone onto Headship. Three of whom I supported through their NPQH qualifications.
